About SnakTool

SnakTool is a free browser toolbox for practical jobs: organize a PDF, prepare an image, calculate an amount, convert units or inspect a piece of text.

A tool should make its tradeoffs visible

The catalog contains 59 tools across PDF, image, calculator, converter, developer and generator categories. They share a simple pattern: supply the input, choose the relevant settings, inspect the result and download or copy it when appropriate. No account is required.

Useful results matter more than a long list of promises. Conversion pages describe supported formats and limitations; calculators explain their assumptions; developer tools distinguish parsing or decoding from validation and security.

Why processing happens in the browser

Current tool processing runs on your device instead of sending your files or text to a conversion API. This avoids a processing upload and lets the tools work with local browser capabilities. The website still needs to load its pages and code, and following an external link or sending an email is a separate action.

Local processing has limits. Large documents can exceed a device’s memory, some codecs are unsupported, and complex layouts can require manual review. A controlled rejection is preferable to claiming that every file can be converted perfectly.

Documentation follows the product

Tool pages explain the action itself. Guides cover decisions and problems that need more context, such as choosing an image format or understanding an untrusted JWT. Help covers troubleshooting across the catalog.

If the interface and documentation disagree, report the tool URL and a non-sensitive description through Contact. SnakTool does not ask you to send private documents just to describe a problem.

Documentation is checked against the current input controls, processing paths and regression tests. Examples describe those implemented rules rather than promising exact conversion fidelity. A supported format does not mean every layout or encoding inside it is supported.
