SnakTool Help Center
Start with the error shown by the tool. A file can be valid yet unsupported, or small on disk yet too large to decode safely. Repeating the same operation in several tabs can make the problem harder to diagnose.
Find the symptom before retrying
| Symptom | Check first | Where to continue |
|---|---|---|
| Rejected before processing | Actual format, password state, dimensions and resource estimate | The tool's supported inputs and limitations |
| Processing fails or is cancelled | Whether you cancelled; otherwise note the exact error without private data | Resource guidance below, then support |
| Download missing | Browser download controls and whether processing completed | Download guidance below |
| Output looks wrong | Orientation, selection order, font/script support and conversion limits | The relevant format guide |
| Calculation or developer result differs | Units, rate convention, timestamp unit, text encoding or input types | Method and worked example on that tool |
When a file is rejected before processing
Check the actual format expected by the selected route. Renaming an extension does not convert the file. PDF to Word and Word to PDF accept different inputs; the latter accepts supported DOCX rather than legacy .doc. Image routes also check signatures and decoded content rather than trusting a filename.
Encrypted or malformed documents need separate handling. Use Unlock PDF with the correct known password where the encryption is supported. A parser error does not mean a file has exceeded a size limit, and a resource error does not prove the document is corrupt.
When a browser runs out of resources
Decoded pixels, rendered pages, extracted text and temporary buffers can use much more memory than the file’s encoded bytes. Safety checks consider these resources rather than promising one universal maximum upload size. A high-resolution image or a many-page render can be expensive even from a small source.
Close other heavy tabs, process fewer selected pages or use a smaller source where acceptable. Do not repeatedly retry an unchanged job that exceeds the tool’s limit. A different device may have more headroom, but it does not remove supported-format or configured safety limits.
Processing, canceling and downloading
Keep the processing tab open and allow it to finish. Use Cancel if you need to stop a running file task; Start over clears the current tool session for another input. Check that you are downloading the final result rather than an old file in your downloads folder.
If nothing appears after Download, inspect your browser’s download panel and site permissions. Multiple rasterized PDF pages may arrive as a packaged download that needs extracting. Clipboard actions also depend on browser permissions and a supported secure context.
When the output looks wrong
Compare it with the source at a readable zoom. PDF text conversion is approximate and has no OCR; image format conversion can flatten transparency; lossy formats can soften fine edges. The tool’s limitations explain what should and should not be expected.
For calculators, verify units, rate bases and date order. For developer utilities, distinguish syntax from meaning: JSON parsing does not check an API schema, and JWT decoding does not verify a signature. Use the page-specific example to test a small known input first.
Browser compatibility and privacy
Use a current browser with JavaScript enabled. Local workers, canvas, cryptography and WebAssembly support vary by task and browser environment. Private browsing or organizational policies can restrict storage, downloads or clipboard access.
The current tools process input locally. Loading the website still makes normal requests for code and assets. If you contact support, the information you include in the email is transmitted separately; do not attach sensitive source material.
Escalate a reproducible problem
Email [email protected] with the tool URL, browser/device, steps and exact error. Mention whether a harmless small example works and whether the issue appears before processing, during processing or only when opening the output.
